well thats odd fbf's wasnt eating if i remember right.

since yours is though how does the poo look and how is the breathing look from top and bottom? with the wc schedule and the carbon im guessing you havent tried treating it with anything and if you have what did you use and how?

his was eating some i think

the poo looks healthy and consistent like my other rays. i haven't tried treating it with anything as I can't seem to find a cause. I don't like just treating a tank and hoping it works...

thats true also was this wc or cb? also as far as breathing goes how is it looking from both top and underside?

also do you have a tank that is fully cycled with lots of biomedia or do you have spare biomedia in a sump that way you can make his tank constant and do manual waterchanges and tests instead of the system you have him set up on.

that way you can rule out water fluctuations from the q tank that he is on.

Ours was eating, even aggressively at times, for the first month or so. Towards the end he slowed down and then stopped all together. We don't believe it was a parasite or water conditions, as there were other stingrays (young & old) on the same water system and everyone else was fine. Someone suggested trying vitamins...we would have tried that if we had the pup in a seperate system from everything else.

After seeing this earlier today I swtiched to manual WC's. Breathing looks normal as far as I can tell. I took some bioballs and threw them in a fluval 405 and put them on the tank.

WC or CB?

Well I since no one seems to have any idea how to help I droped the pH to 4. This seems to have helped. Now he is not doing the "cupping" thing all the time just mostly in the evening. Although he has stopped eating :(
