what do you think of applying this in the NBA?

Hmmm, it is interesting. I would rather that if they call a flop, and it counts as a tech, that it stays as a tech, and only counts twords that total, instead of adding it to their 6 foul total.

Unless they decide that they want to launch an attack against the flop to completly rid it from the game. Then in this case I would say call it all the time even if it looks close as a flop and add it to their 6 fouls total. I would actually like this better, if as soon as the game starts if it looks like someone is flopping they call a foul, I would rather the error on the side of the flop then the contact. this would provide big incentive to "stop-the-flop" (thank you very much:)). Everyone would be going nuts about it for a while and would probably call it the flop year and have a bunch of controversy, but it would be better for the sport.

BTW Onion, I think they should do this in soccer too, if they ever want to legitimately bring it to the States (and I don't know if they do) they have to get the flopping out of the game.

the thing with soccer is that flopping is easier to spot and doesn't really make that much a difference if it isn't. Plus, if a player tries to flop to get a free kick to the goal and is caught, he gets a yellow card.

All I heard from the last three pages is, "BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH THE LAKERS AND KOBE WILL DOMINATE THURSDAY NIGHT TO MAKE THE SERIES 2-2"
