Sorry for being rude:(, it was ment more as sarcasm but was definetly rude.

I agree that Sanders was a great back but as for making it easier for the QB to throw thus improving Mitchell as a QB. This being the case then why was this not the effect on other Lions QBs such as Peete Or Kramer?

As a note Barry Sanders had his best seasons while Mitchell was QB. Maybe Mitchell made Barry a better RB. Possibly it was just that they complimented each other and that was a very powerful offense for a few years.

Regarding the Peete and Kramer part, just so you know, and this would be impossible to know without being in this area all of the time, Kramer is actually regarded as probably the best QB that we've had in for the most part 50 years. Mitchell on the other hand, is regarded as one of the worst. He had a ton of weapons around him, including Barry he had Moore, Perriman, and so on, and he made lots of mistakes in critical times. Numbers can be a little misleading, like if you look at just numbers, Jon Kitna would actually be our best QB in 25 years. (sadly that might be true though!)

As for Mitchell making Barry better, it's interesting for casual debate, but not really realistic in any manner. Mitchell really wasn't much before he got here, and certainly was nothing when he left. Also, anybody who got to see Barry run knows that he was the reason he was so good.

The Eagles did look good, I'm not sure if they are actually that good or if the Cowboy's just choked.

The parody in the NFL is incredible, teams look great one week, and junk the next, and visa versa.

:ROLF: Eric Kramer, he never even was able to start an entire season for the lions, always split time with peete. I would bet in the four years he was there he didn't even start 20 games. You guys just think he was good as a result of a couple of good games he had aqainst the Lions while with Chicago :)

Unfortunately we think he's good because compared to our other starting QB's, he actually is pretty good. :nilly:

I can't believe that there is an argument about the Lions. It's like arguing about how smelly a landfill is.

:p Hey the Lions are a NFL team too, well just barely:D

Was that his career stats, because I know he never started an entire season himself.

I"ve seen a couple early perdictions of the Lions taking Sam Bradford with that first pick:screwy:

I really hope not. Please take Andre Smith. If not him, let's see if I can make this clear, DEFENSE DEFENSE DEFENSE.
