If you're ever in Taiwan, there's an aquarium in Taoyuan that you should check out. It's got an arapaima tank with over 20 2m+ pimas as well as a 3m saltwater sawfish. The feeding shows are awesome!

The only aquarium I ve really beend to is Sea World - Kissimee (yes *most FL theme parks are Kissimmee not orlando ;) I have pictures but they be in the photo lounge area thing. Its fun if its your first time going. I have year round passes. I cant wait to see the georgia aquarium though!!
I'm in the uk and i've been in ther 50+ times and done 100+ shamu show :grinyes:

Hi. it is kind of a hobby of mine to explore aquariums around the world. It's always pointless to look for the "best" anything because it all depends on what each individual wants that day. Here are five not mentioned that I really enjoy:

New England Aquarium (Boston, USA)
This place has a great variaty in an easily accessible layout. Fair prices, and a great seadragon exhibit. The giant ocean aquarium tube that you walk around is sort of common place now in aquariums, but this one is still well thought out and enjoyable as any. Theres a pretty big freshwater section with a lot of big monster cats and piranha and such. Another great thing here is that you can purchase tickets to go whale watching and the boat leaves from right near there out to the ocean.

National Aquarium (Baltimore, US)
This place has a ton of animals and is really big. I just hate that when I went, it was crawling with people and I didnt have a good time... I want to try again during the week.

i definately agree on those two, they were both really awesome. i just gotta get down to the atlanta aquarium...

I went to the Georgia Aquarium a few months ago and I must say it was incredibly awesome. My favorite was by far the walk-through the the whale shark. Seeing that aquarium is actually what got my interested in keeping fish and thus I found this website.

The aquarium in Baltimore is sweet.they have a cool Amazon exhibit with everything you can think of.The one here in Dallas is pretty cool also. They have manataes in with tiger shovels and rtc's.Was thinking of taking the better half to baltimore this summer but you guys have shown me there are a lot of other cool places to go.Then again may go back to sea World in San Antonio for millionth time.

I'm really amazed that we haven't seen any kind of mention of the Long Beach Aquarium of the Pacific. I went for my 21st birthday instead of going out to the bars. It's devoted completely to Pacific Ocean and it's different zones (northern pacific, southern cali/baja, and the tropical Pacific). I was a bit disappointed that there isn't any FW displays but that disappointment went by the wayside as soon as I saw both of their giant sea bass'. This place is simply amazing and I would personally put it over Monterey Bay Aquarium any day of the week.

I was at the Atlanta Aquarium earlier this year and to the Sentosa Island Aquarium in Singapore last year. Collected some memories.
