You guys are sooo lucky. The UK is ***! I just got back from the gun club where all we are allowed now is .22 rimfire!!!! They are even debating in parliment banning knives now! Its already illegal to have a blade length of over 3" now they want a TOTAL ban, with a mandatory 2 yr sentence if you are caught in the street! What a JOKE. They say its needed cause they are the most commonly used weapon. Well fists are the second, gonna take those off me too??? Fight for your rights while you still got 'em cause the lefties wont stop till your castrated.

How can you ban knives? What idiots. The olympics is gonna be funny cause most of the guns are illegal here now! Have to do the shooting in France where the UK pistol shooting teams based now!

i'm a teacher in the uk, and belive me, if you were, you'd want a ban on knives too, and guns and anything else that kids can use to kill other kids.

shooting as a sport i can kind of understand

i know i know, human rights and all that, but seriously, a gun and a knife's primary purpose is to kill, and what is so bad about not being able to own somthing like that

Its not the guns that kill kids... its not legal guns that kids shoot kids with... problem anit goig to change cos there is currently no one seriously tryna change it.... its on the media and the police they do a lot to encourage it... Im 22 and not so long ago i was in the 'situation' of those kids... and its got sod all to do with legal papered firearms.... or even the fact that the weapons are available.. its all about perception and fear....

A legal and an illegal gun both kill someone just as dead, but actually i do agree that guns if properly regulated are good for sports (i'm not into hunting but can i understand why people enjoy it), guns do have a purpose.

but knives, those are the biggest problem right now in the uk, if a kid has got a knife that knife is only for one reason, and i think that in the same way that if someone has the tools on them to break into a car, even if they havent actually done it, they are charged with that crime. likewise if someone is has a knife on them they should be charged with the crime they intend to do.

The Bushmaster Carbon 15 is a semi-auto. And I believe it's classed as a pistol. It should be able to except any type of AR-15 magazine.

Thanks.

That gun is a piece of ****. Dont get it.
I am looking for something light weight able to swing it out fast to firing posistion and very lightweight that isn't going to cost more than 1k. I want to trick it out with receivers, optics, maybe a different stock not sure. I need some help there. What would you recommend for home defense and shooting some targets occasionally.

I do not understand the ban the tool mentality.. What does this accomplish?? The tool is not the problem the people are..

If it is not knives soon it will be bats.. then your going to ban publicly carrying bats then it will be sticks.. Then your going to ban picking up sticks in public.. Where does it end? What is this doing to modify the real problem.. Destructive Human Behavior, gutter culture and a lack of responsibility for actions...

Are you wanting a rifle or pistol?

Obviously a hand gun is quicker to take from a concealed to firing position.

I am 20 years old I wont be 21 until next April.

I already have a ranch rifle that is semi but its not good at home defense and I also have a mossberg 500.

And? In most states you only have to be 18 to possess a pistol. In mine its 16 :grinno:

Federally you have to be 21 to buy a handgun from an FFL dealer. Check your state regs but you can probably buy one from an individual at 18.

Check your laws and go to a gun show. Around here though if you look, act, dress, or smell like trouble no one will sell you anything even if it is legal.
