you experienced that AND left a tip???

that's force of obligated habit right there dude. I bet she still got upset for the small tip.

self entitlement................

Lol. Don't deny that. My sister is a server, I don't know how many servers Ive gone out with, it definitely could have been ingrained into my head. I think she was pissed too, oh well..

i'm sheep to some things, proud to say tipping isn't one of them

and bottled water........

Lol, not so much pride, its just I know I will be there again. People remember you.

see,........they got you where they want you

I can see it's hard since you enjoy the place and you wouldn't want anyone to purposely make you wait or mess with your food with secret sauces and things like that

i don't go out often anyways but when i do it's different places, no one knows i tip jack until I leave and they won't remember me when i go there next time because it will be a long time

you keep my jameson whisky shot full and coffee full I am a happy camper. these are things she has control over. as for food she just a server and at the whim of the kitchen. I will not go to a steak house here again,. not because the server was bad but a 16 oz porter house was not, I gave the waitress grief for this. manager came out and showed me some pitiful vacuumed packed steak and said this is how we get them. meals on the house for me and the wife. I handed the waitress 80 bucks as a tip, not her fault.

rock's server had an attitude when he asked for ranch though. that's on her

This could be true, it just not behoove a server to have anything but an upbeat what can i do for you attitude. not saying not happen, I tend to attack the server right off starting with her name badge and talking to her by name. This lets her know that I am taking the time to recognize them and builds on a fun repertoire that will get you better service and make a great dinning experience for you and great work experience for them.

true, tho my wife's much bigger, but get the point, you want good service? They not a slave, read the badge, use there name and have a fun banter with them, they folks working for a living, they enjoy just as much as you and get better service.
