Hello; I own the place outright. I have taken a shallow look at the reverse mortgage. Did not much like what I found. But you are correct in that under some circumstances a reverse mortgage can be of use. I keep the option in mind. Thanksget enough equity and a reverse mortgage can be an option. But that is a discussion for you and your banker.
at this point my options are worrisome. I hope something pans out to my benefit.Hello; I own the place outright. I have taken a shallow look at the reverse mortgage. Did not much like what I found. Interesting points thanks guys , I have a future plan in my head as I'll be on a state pension when I'm 67 yr old (hopefully won't have to paint until that age) so I'm going to try and keep this house when we move on and let it out , change my mortgage to a let to buy scheme and buy something else for us to live in , the rental value of properties in my area are ridiculous hence us buying our own after paying these prices for eight years already , so we could pretty much pay the two mortgages off the rental from one leaving us in good sted for our future with some capital behind us for retirement ages (at this stage in my life I'm looking to dissaper to Amsterdam and live the rest of my years out smiling in a floating house on the canal)
