  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Good morning, cats are useless against them as there are quite a few strays that live in the area,a few neighbors feed and look after them. The squirrels seem to taunt the cats since they are faster and more agile and the cats cannot catch them.
We used a trap, then when they were caged we let them into a bag and killed them with a shovel.

No more squirrels living in the garage

Does anyone know of an effective squirrel trap that I can purchase?
Home depot or lowes should sell traps(they do here). What you do with them is your business, just be careful if you do relocate them. I heard the law can raise a stink if they catch you dumping them elsewhere.

Geez, the last time I can remember squirrels around my house was around the early 70's. Me and my brother used to feed it peanuts. Since then it's just been racoons, rabbits, ants, and spiders for pests.

In two weeks I go to my concert, I'm so excited!!! Woo hoo!!!

Having my hair white today so I can put green and purple in it next week. I haven't had bright hair since I was 17 so it'll be weird seeing my hair purple now that I have sparrows feet (not quite crows feet yet)... Oooo the excitement! :D

To get rid of squirrels in yor yard just add a couple plastic snakes,I never kill animals without using the carcass for some purpose, especially since people r starving in parts of the world, also spraying a mix of water and pepper/onion juice keeps them away.

The biological importance of squirrels:squirrels eat items that would otherwise be eaten by pest insects(such as weevils which can decimate whole crops),squirrels also plant tree nuts that would not grow otherwise, squirrels also eat foods that would attract rats otherwise,if u were to remove squirrels u would encourage vermin like Norway rats ,boll weevils and garden grubs.

Lol,I'm not looking to throw off the ecological balance by erradicating all squirrels heck I wouldn't mind them around if they just left my damned plants alone.I will try the pepper and onion concoction and see how that does.

Don't you have a giant drool machine (dog)? If he's well trained enough get him to chase them - even if he doesn't catch them it should still scare the crapper off of them enough that you'd think they'd leave your plants alone. :)

Post Script: I'm not implying your dog isn't trained, I don't know how well he's trained that's why I said "if". :)

....and yes,my Spartacus does and will chase the tree rats when sees them(I wouldn't think that any dog would need to be trained to chase squirrels lol) but my yard has plenty of trees so the tree rats have all kinds of escape routes and like I said earlier they seem to enjoy taunting other animals into trying to chase them.My dog is indoors with me most of the time too.
