I'm 6'3"ish and 150, I'm skinny lol. Hopefully I buff up a little lol

Yea, the media has been brainwashing us on alot of stuff. Trying to pass off the abnormal as normal.

I'm lucky that I've never weighted over 200. However people always call me skinny... which is just as annoying if someone was called fat. But I'd rather be called skinny then weight challenged.

The media has also pushed the PC stuff on us. I am not a PC person. I tell it like it is
that whole "Im comfortable in my body" stuff is ridiculous...at no point should ANYONE be comfortable being grossly overweight....ever. It isn't a normal thing...its not acceptable to your own body....I don't care if you are fat and have no issue with yourself but don't tell me its normal...a little extra weight is normal and much healthier than skinny...rolls on rolls on rolls is a problem. I hate that mentality. I'll accept you as a person, I refuse to accept what you do to yourself is ok. I'm fairly straightforward as well, PC is the reason kids need a "safe place" to cry if it rains too hard now.

People seem to just dodge the idea of health problems, It's crazy bad to be crazy overweight.

I need to start putting tuna on my sandwiches

tuna, chicken breast, cook with oil more often lol, eat rice and potatoes with EVERYTHING, pasta and slam protein shakes like it keeps you alive. You'll put on weight no issue. Lift heavy if you want muscle. 4-7 rep range. If you can easily do more than 7 up your weight.

My mum stuffs me with carbs lol, most nights are cooked meals. Tonight is one of the late work nights so I'm doing a pasta ready meal, heaps of carbs, protein and fats. I'm not gymming so much as of late, but If I do it's usually high resistance rowing and leg work then a cycle of this thing called the super circuit. It has enough machines to do each part of your body and I am for 10 reps each. I'm yet to try shakes

If you are gearing up for rugby then you won't be putting on a ton of muscle straight away as most of that is endurance training I'd wager. Could always throw in some heavy weight on your own but that's up to you.

I'm leaning into swimming now, I enjoy it more than rugby. It is a lot of endurance though either way

Well since my back/hip surgery im over my weight. Was up to 225 down to 216. I'd be happy to hit 200
hello; Compromised joints and old age are my issues with keeping weight off. I cannot run or work like the past. My biggest problem is that I still eat like back when I could be active enough to work it off.

according to the governments weight charts,
Hello; I did a search after hearing the TV story. Seems the weight charts have been changed over time. What use to be too heavy for a height is now more often considered more normal. The revised mindset seems to have altered the standards.

Hello; Well made point here. This fits my view of the situation fairly well. To boost a person's self-esteem to the point they ignore a health issue seems off to me.

Any advocates for another point of view?
