Right, there was at least one hapless bobby on that bridge yesterday who was only armed with a baton and he wound up being hospitalized due to a knife wound.

my neighbor who is a fireman ( firefighter) are not allowed to carry on the job.

heat + gunpowder?

Hello; I spoke to my neighbor today. He says it is a rule common to firehouses that firemen cannot have guns in the firehouse or on a fire truck. He was not sure as to why. The exception is that some officers such as Chiefs can do so. He is an assistant chief so he can and apparently does.

Hello; This is for those who fly commercial. I do not so this is a surprise to me. It seems they actually let people have dogs in the passenger area of planes. Something called an "emotional support dog". Apparently there have been some mauling/biting by these type dogs. Anyway another reason to not fly commercial.

This been a thing for awhile now SK, My only problem is the "pet" is not veted enough. Document for the person by a doc for one is fine, but needs to be papers that the pet it self has also been trained as one needs to go along with that.

Hello; Yes I gathered some of that from the story. It seems some folks are using "loopholes" so they can take their average pets in places usually restricted. I have seem them in my local supermarket.
It seems that folks are always "gamming" the system. A program that might be genuine for a few folks who need a companion dog gets scammed by others.

A few things come to mind. Yesterday I had C-SPAN on in the background. A former senator was talking about waste and fraud. Two things stuck in my mind. One is that up to 40% on SS disability are not actually disabled. I know personally of a guy here in TN who fits that description.
The other was that in two states at least a million people in each state were on medicaid who do not qualify. One was Ohio, I forget the other. This was discovered by comparing the Medicaid applications with applications for financing things such as cars.
