I understand. But we did have a mod on the thead. The only complaint was all caps. Im pretty sure every single person who read the thread knew the comment was in jest.

Using caps on forums mean yelling, and the op was only asked about it, there wasn't a complaint nor any further action taken for that, and the thread did continue until one of the members wanted a waterboarding demonstration against a kid.
Now let's put that to rest and move on.
Exactly! the problem many of us are having is in the past blatant political stuff was not taken care of, even as recent as a month ago I know for a fact you admins & mods saw the threads where some members were posting flat out derogatory posts and memes about the President, and the reason I know that for a fact is because I used the REPORT button. So you can't say you guys didn't see them. Yet nothing was done. But now a thread that isn't even really political gets locked. You can't have it both ways guys.
Look I'm not going to keep going back & forth about this because that is pointless. But I do want you to know a few things. Most of us here are grown adults, I'm nearly 50 yrs old so I don't appreciate some of the condescending replies saying "in for a rude awakening" or "this is a luxury" or any of that stuff. It just comes across wrong. And the other thing is saying "anything that can be taken as political or offend someone will get you banned" (or something like that I'm not gonna go back and quote it.) To that I say this...Not allowing politics is for sure the right thing, I don't allow it on my sites either, but the way you guys are saying the TOS will be enforced, makes it sound like if something can be worked into making it sound like it is political/offensive to someone then that won't be allowed. ANYTHING can be taken and twisted into something. Its great to not allow political posts, but lets not take to to some happy joy cherry on top place where we have to be singing kumbaya.
We are moving on. But is discussing this further an issue ?
Well how we handle such occurrences is upto us mods.
If any one has an issue, kindly pm the mods, and we can discuss the issue.
I take things away from my children when i want to punish them. If thats the message hear... its received loud and clear.
Hello; My take is this can cover pretty much anything that goes on in the world. A very broad definition. For example I was thinking of posting about the old news that is now new news about paper grocery bags and roaches. I am old enough to have been around when paper sacks were all there was. The paper sacks were known decades ago to be a vector for bringing roaches into our homes.
I can think of two or three ways someone can spin that topic into some political slant.
By the way I know how to deal with roaches. A method I learned decades ago.
For what it is worth I did not take the "waterboard" comment literally or seriously either.
Obviously. Picking and choosing like we mentioned above....but doesnt matter I'll take my lowly peasant behind back into the shadows and obey the rules. Your right I'm wrong I promise to do better.
