It annoys me how they used to play the race/equality card. "Not enough black actors win, or not enough women directors win." Admittedly it's changed a little over the years, but is that change down to the actual quality of the movies, or is it down to having to lean in the "right direction" when nominating?
At the end of the day the Oscars are about good movies, irrespective of who acts/directs them.
