can we go back to the ben afflec thing...i know it's illegal to count cards but why? As long as you're not marking cards or using a partner/electronics i don't see why it's illegal. isn't the whole point of the game to use your mind to play the odds to beat the dealer? it's ok to guess but wrong if you count cards in your head?
I agree 100%, Counting cards is the only thing thats ever intrigued me regarding card games. I still don't understand how it works though.
where are you lost? not trying to talk down to you (i make it way WAY more obvious then this hahaha) but tell us what you know off the top of your head about counting cards or how you think it might work?
lol, I don't mind one bit. I have no clue of how it works. But like you said, as long as you're just using your mind, what's the big deal? Couldn't you just add more decks to discourage card counting, I realize that changes the dynamics of some games, but...
And how do you prove someone is counting cards. I know there must be tell tale things to look for, but coincidences never happen ?heh heh. Guess I mean, if there is a way to get rich in a short amount of time, with little investment, Id like to hear more

yeah, adding decks completely changes the game.
im guessing but id imagine speed of play and the size of your bets/how often you drop large bets is a tell tale. Someone sits out a bunch of hands, starts playing at the end of the round or "shoe" and then starts dropping huge bets here and there in favorable situations.
