I think the point of the name thing is we can talk about what happened for days and days and not mention the shooter at all. victims, families, etc but not mentioning the shooter makes it less desirable to would-be Aholes to cook up a plan just to hear about themselves for months or years. It isn't the act they want to hear about, they want to hear their names mentioned over and over.

Anyone who participated in egging him on should be charged with conspiracy.
Even failure to report knowing of someone's plan to murder people should have some kind of charge.

I just read that before he went on his spree the shooter gave someone at the school a box and told them to deliver it....
I'm just glad that the wacko is dead as he won't get to sit up in a courtroom and make a mockery of the system and insult relatives of the victims with some kind of insanity plea.

Hello; One thing always comes to mind when the shootings happen in such settings. A target rich place where folks are prevented from having the means to defend themselves by the rules. What if the fellow who took seven bullets while trying to do something had more than his own unarmed body to use?
I don't know the exact laws but in Iowa a concealed care permit can give you exemption from the rules.
I don't know them either but armed campus security might not be a bad idea but it seems that most of those places opt not to have that kind of protection.
Hello; Here in Tennessee, (USA) the govenor signed into law last summer the right for concealed carry permit holders to begin to be able to carry in state parks. Earlier in September a regional fair was held at "Chilhowee Park" in Knoxville TN. By some interesting word play the powers that be decided that Chilhowee Park is not a "park" and they banned all firearms from the fair. The issue seems likely to be headed for a court hearing.
In addition to this there are still many places where folks with legal carry permits are not allowed to carry in most states. It is not difficult to know where such zones exist and no suprise they are so often the site of these shootings.
another nut job, as the population grows as does the chances of nut jobs grow. Social media can increase the "off the deep end" effect IMHO. in countries ware guns not allowed, they kill with machetes, hatchets and knives. fact is a nut job going to do what a not job does. should not effect my amendment right.
The thing is when a "pro gun rights activist" comes in to a Starbucks carrying an rifle and sticks it up your butt as you decide what coffee you want that morning it's kinda hard not to sway one way but on the flip side when this happens you away the other way. I agree with
