That reminds me of the near depression I felt when my two favorite shops closed down for good.
Hello; The closest actual fish shops are around 60 miles away from my current location. Use to be 100 miles before I moved a few years ago. There have been a few small shops to open up closer but none stayed open very long. The best close shop was in a green house only five miles away, but the flood of 1977 did for him.
Not sure if you guys are anywhere near it but I used to ssee talk of what was said to be a great shop,Pier One or something like that?
We have a great fish store about 20 minutes away, quality fish, tho its is a very large store, they also deal in ponds up to and including building them, and cater to dogs cats reptiles and any other pet you can think of, I love it there just no reason to go.

Hello; I get the QT ready and make a run to Knoxville TN. I do this about three/four times a year. Some trips I do not buy anything, depends on the stock and the prices. I also will stop by the fish shops if I happen to be in Knoxville for some other reason on other days. Been making a few more trips since gas prices dropped.
