No I'm about an hour and half away in Stourbridge nr Birmingham.
I've seen more police with guns at airports and city centres lately.
Never used to see them armed at all before.
Where did you live in the UK?

Here the police are mostly armed
 
Here in Tennessee and Kentucky all the police are armed. The national park rangers that do traffic control are armed. The game wardens are armed and many ordinary citizens to name a few. There are likely others. For some reason my neighbor who is a fireman ( firefighter) are not allowed to carry on the job.

Interesting,one would think that they all would be armed with the way things are over there.It's almost as if the powers that be have no will to defend the citizens.
