Ok, last post on this - maybe.

Just a reality check for any bleeding heart that reads any of this, those birds were being raised, and sold, for their meat. They weren’t family pets.

Maybe some billionaires, or Dr. Oz, would like to relocate the next chicken/turkey farm up here that surfaces with avian flu? Hmmmm, probably not. Nobody’s going to miss a dead chicken…..

Ok, one more, just in case this is making anyone (John) hungry. Lol

A drumstick is only $200.00 CAD

Hello; My neighbors dog likes me ( I know many will find this hard to believe). Not sure the dog loves me more. She uses my driveway to avoid an aggressive dog when taking him for a walk. She once said her dog wanted to stay at my place when I was outside when they walked by.

Well...ostrich does taste pretty good...:)

I got a chuckle out of the farm owner's comments regarding the protestors:

“There are many supporters here that right now need mental health (support),” he said in an interview on Friday.

He said the CFIA should have had mental health workers “right here, right now.”

I couldn't agree more, although I think they probably needed it long before they ever heard of the ostrich farm...

Hello; About our phones deciding a call is potential scam. I have a CD maturing in a few days. Went in to the bank yesterday to talk about my options. The bank had sent a letter reminding of the maturity date.
During my talk with the bank officer turns out he had tried to call me on my dumb cellphone. I did not answer because the phone declared his call was potential fraud. I gave him my land line number so he can leave a message on the answer machine.
So my question is about how to trust the phone. On my landline I get up to 20 or more calls most days. 99% of the time if I answer it is someone trying sell me Medicare and the like. So I have been waiting for someone to start a message on the landline.
I got a fiber optic cable internet around a year ago and use that for my landline service now. The phone announces who is calling out loud now which helps some.

Hello; never tried ostrich but will if it ever shows up at Kroger. I have tried bison at a Ted Turner restaurant in Lexington KY. That is good.
Bison is a huge favourite of mine, puts ostrich to shame IMHO.

I'm reminded of the tale of the poor man who appeared in front of a judge, charged with killing a Bald Eagle. When asked for an explanaton, he said "Well, your honour, I lost my job recently and was becoming desperate to put food on the table for my wife and children. When the eagle appeared, I simply couldn't resist the temptation; I shot it and took it home to feed my family. I know it was wrong, but I was desperate."

The judge was a softie, and he took pity upon the poor soul. "I see. While you did commit a crime, I find it difficult under those circumstances to throw the book at you as I might otherwise do. But...tell me something: how exactly did that eagle taste? Was it a good meal? I've never heard of anyone eating one before, and I'm curious."

The man leaned conspiratorially forward and spoke in a low voice: "Well, your honour, it was fairly unique as table fare. The flavour was very similar to a Whooping Crane, but the texture was more like a Spotted Owl..."
