OFFICIAL PLANT/GARDENING THREAD

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Got it now :) Give it TONS of sun, and do not overwater. They grow extremely fast - save me some seeds when it starts producing!

sounds like a plan! Its in my hot box atm. I figured it would grow like lightning. I heard they are susceptible to rotting which Im a little concerned about so Ill try not to over water.

I have a vine that I brought back from Puerto Rico. Its leaves has large holes in them, sound familiar to anyone?

All seedlings are prone to rotting by overwatering. It is the number one killer - it's called "Damping off." It sucks.

never knew what it was called. now i know. Thanks!

I'll have a photo for you tomorrow.Ive heard of Monstera and it could a species of it but the leaves on my plant are small, about the size of a silver dollar coin.

Just came back to this - wow, tiny leaves - put a pic up!

If they are that small, then it's not what I was thinking of above.

I don't have indoor plants, but I have around 3,000 Noble Fir (Abies procera) trees that I planted twelve years ago. Where I live Christmas Trees are a big business. We are probably one of the smallest producers with five acres, some people are growing thousands of acres (millions of trees). Ours are what they call "wild-type" trees in that they aren't sheared or pruned in any way. We also don't use any herbicide/pesticide or fertilizer - not because I am all that opposed to it, just because I'm cheap. Last year was our first year selling trees and we sold about 400, hopefully this year we'll sell even more!
