Dont worry im flaming petco, too.

Petsmart- On my break from work(petco) i went over to petsmart to grab heaters since they pricematch and are cheap. Upon entering the fish area, i see 4 of their associates gathered around a specimen cup looking at a fish, at first glance i know immediatly that it's a flame hawkfish. I hear them say "Is it freshwater?" at this point i lose it and burst in, "it's a flame hawkfish, and it's saltwater." and they go "oh..." i didnt have my petco shirt on mind you but i find it ironic that 4 associates and 1 that i know is an aquatics specialist or whatever could not identify this fish.

Petco- a customer informed me that we sell fish on the internet, which i didnt even know about. So i decided to check it out. i was throughlly disappointed.

24+ inches in 10+ gallon tank? Get real.

and if u look at the african cichlids, they want 27.99 for 1 yellow lab (labidochromis cearuleus)

fail.

wow... If it says you can fit a pleco in a 10 gallon, I might as well put a red tailed catfish in a 55 gallon tank! lol

I thought we all agreed flaming the pet giants was "not doing it right".....

Wow, how sad if they would have stuck it in a FW tank! And was it that hard to figure out where to put it even if they didn't know what it was? Um...stick your hand in SW it doesn't even feel like FW. You don't even need a hydrometer or something to measure content.

Both petco and petsmarts info online sucks. I haven't looked at the prices but 27.99 for a yellow lab? I can get them practically free all day. The only one we even have actually came with a tank we bought. One of the most common africans for 27.99 :screwy:, yup sounds reasonable.

I think that they say that a pleco can go in a 10 gallon because anyone who is dumb enough to put one in there will kill it long before it outgrows the tank. Then, the person will be back to buy another one because they need something to clean the tank. It is the cycle that keeps them in business.

^^^^ I agree 150%%%% Give this man a gold star....! ;)

Wait, so youre trying to tell me I CANT keep my three plecos in my 5 gallon eclipse? Aww crap!

No, you can....And we will see you in a couple weeks...lol

Petsmart doesn't sell SW fish in my area. Do they sell them elsewhere?

Check this out! Taken from the petco website. :screwy:
