Okay, so what "isn't monster?"

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
So, pretty much the same comments. Even though most comments referred to what monster is instead of what monster isn't], the same answer has presented itself. It really is too opinion-based a question to end up with a definite answer, I guess. Just thinking it would be fun to see it discussed from the other end, but the middle of the road appears to still be the middle whether you're coming or going. Thanks, everyone.

I'm with Joedodge. "Monster" to me means the passion, interest & learning you put into the hobby-not the size of your fish. Any fool can get an Oscar (or any big fish) to 12" in a year. But the real monster fishkeeper still has that fish 10 yrs later.
Opps-edit: Monster ISN'T the size of the fish.

even the creator of this site said, its about your passion and dedication; not about the size of your fish or tanks.

looks like this will be failed thread #4 :)

ok if where giving you what is a monster than wouldnt the opposite of what where telling you be not monster ?

So if you keep guppies in a 10 gallon for 5 years, you are a monster fish keeper?
why not? not sure why people are so hung up on the "monster" label being related to the size of your fish

lol

EDIT: 1000 POSTS YEAH BABY !!!!!!!!!

Same idea as

wouldnt the opposite of what where telling you be not monster

So, yeah, I guess so.

Guppies? Gosh, it's hard to draw the line anywhere. I've seen some amazing guppies/endlers. I'd respect anyone who bred them. You know high-quality guppies can sell for hundreds of dollars? That's monster if you ask me.
