Most I have heard say 10 I ches for male grammodes... some say 12... since I have no real experience with them I guess time will tell.. I'll keep things updated weekly brotherHes looking good. I dont really care for “wetpets” I like to see as close to a natural setting and behavior as possible but I do want to see the fish regularly as they go about doing what they do. I looked the grammodes back up and I either missed it before or I forgot how big they get. I was thinking 7 - 8” but they can get up to 12”. I will enjoy watching your fish develop.
Too bad my camera battery died in the middle of me feeding him but I'll get it tommorow... I held the frozen peice of food near the bottom of the tank... (he was watching me the whole time sticking his head out of his cave)... until the peice defrosted enough so it would t float around... the wave maker in the tank will just blow the food to peices so I havto be slow and hold it down for 30 seconds or soI would try to drop it where he will see it fall.
I have a 210 gal with a Tire track eel among others... I have mollies in there popping out fry every other day... was meant for the eel to show its predation and a never ending supply of food. . But the eel and others show absolutely no interest in them... I gave away a few of the adults but using what I have left for the grammodes and so far he shows interest... will probably only put a couple in once a week or 2 weeks for him to get some excersize and interactions within his tankCool. Do you breed mollies?
I do not... and not sure I would want to try it as I'm told and have seen the few videos available of them, some with tankmates and do not fair well with others... I'd assume some large catfished would be ok with them or large eel/ bichir etc. But again not 100% sure... I'm sure it depends o the own personality aswell as tank size... hides and so onDo you know how they fare with catfish when they’re grown? I admire this fish from afar and want to get one eventually.
