Old 75...new beginnings

I guess it's a good time to update yes...Update time!
Just yesterday I actually ended up picking up a single female... after scooping out several in the tank at my lfs I only picked one... that's because they are so small.. only about 1.5 inches, and it's hard to tell a male or female when they are so small . I'm 90% sure the one I grabbed is a female but at that size I'm not too sure how my now 6 plus inch male will respond...
After acclimating I tossed her in with the beast!
He went at her a couple times and she got away.. she didnt seems too bothered tbh, she just glided out of his way and went on about checking out her new home... I'd love to get a few pictures of her but she claimed one of the 2 smaller pipes I put in the tank before putting her in and the male is searching high and low for her... even squeezes himself into them somehow pouting lol
I can't see her in there so I have no idea how things are going.. I dont see a corpse so that's a plus... she could literally be in any of the rockwork throughout the tank aswell.. he does seem to however be spending alot of time squeezed in and around those pipes so maybe shes wedged herself nearby.

So.... I found the female!
Still alive and kicking it.. hiding in pile of rocks behind the males cave... seeing as shes so small should I get some light diffuser and split them up?
Or let them figure it out... would she starve always hiding back there.. I did see her picking at some food or something on the rocks when she peaked out.

Hope your arms don’t tick him off during water changes. If he latched on you will be missing a pice of your arm easily

Haha I hear ya... so far so good.. still a bit young/small and isnt attacking me yet when i put my hands in the tank... my CAE has been an ******* in my 210 so i thought maybe i could put him in with the grammodes... ya that didn't work... right back out the 75 and back in the 210 he went haha... this guy is mean SOB
Another update!
Been a couple weeks now with the female in the devils tank.... doing great!
I didnt see her for about 10 days then all of a sudden shes hanging out with him and eating up a storm... crazy patterns and color on the male... I HOPE it's a female anyways! Lol

Figure since the male and female are now out and about all the time I would take a few pics.... he darkens up alot around her and her fins get a nice black edge on them... shes growing very fast imo so maybe in a few months shell be able to lay ?
