Heh, the biggest female is about 3.5". Most of the WC males average 6-6.5".
I'm hoping I can get my male marble con that big. :D

I would love to own wild caught cons. Love thier shaping. Different to tank bred.

Funny thing about that.
We came home with 10 pairs of WC cons, all from the same location, and there was plenty of difference in shape to many of them. Some have the more normal thick, typical con-shape. One was reeeeeallly nice, perfect proportions in shape and body with a nice nuchal hump along with a gorgeous amber color to him. The biggest - just big and meaty. A few were really long and slender which was funny cause I had just bumped on a thread with this guy trying to ID his fish and even though it looked like a con a few folks said it couldn't possibly be cause it was "too long". We even had one that was super short and tall. Practically round. I liked to call him the "discus con". lol
As for the females, surprisingly there's not much of a notable difference between them when it comes to how they're shaped. Some are definitely more colorful than others though. Most of it happens to be in the fins. I'm amazed that this race's females doesn't get much of a red/orange spangling on the belly. In fact, now that I think about it, I don't think any of them do have spangles on the belly. :nilly:
