update of my pare ^_^ really love how my male is turning out.....i was thinking he might be part HRP..being that he is soo docile she beats him up all the time

they both are about a year and a half now.


crappy pic but you can really see his trailers coming in and his red/purple/blue fins witch makes me think HRP

he's a picture of my female i picked up a couple of weeks ago, got some good colour to her and still very young, she's about 2" long.

she is..and it is a shame..her fry are stunning from a very young age..just glad i could give her a good home!

Here is a pic of a convict I had for 15 years. Look how much thicker he was compared to an adult male firemouth. This guy was about 7" full grown. Convicts lose a lot of color when they get older. Some convicts are more colorful then others, so some people mistake this for an HRP hybrid. Colors really mean very little when IDing a fish. I have also included a pic of one of my male HRPs. This full grown male is barely 4".
