My 240 was custom made in 1978 for my neighbor and has been in continuous use ever since, with the exception of 1 week during the move from his house next door to mine.

thats a pretty cool tank, is that metal framing?

I have a tank, its not monster by any means, it only holds about a gallon of water........it has a heavy metal framed (not chromed), with a slate bottom and looks to be sealed with tar (at least its black like tar  !) There is no frame around the top, but the glass is rounded (like old medicine cabinet shelves), and the sides come up high enough to hold a lid in place (but I don't have the lid).

I found it at an antiques shop for $2.00, (on their I don't know what it is table, talked them down from $5.00) and have plans to reseal and maybe put a betta in it.

As for age, it is at the least pre-1950's, maybe even older..........

Bump for old tanks!

I have a 125 from 82.. it's older than me by 8 years!!!

but good ol tank.

I used to have a tank and way older than I'm,it was a 600 Gallon concrete tank at my old house in Vietnam, I've been told that the tank was built right after the house sometime before 1975!

maybe I should come back to my born town, take the giant vase/jar(or whatever it is in English) in the old citadel and have fish in there! that vast weight more than 1.5 ton and more than 200 years of age! its been holding rain water for nothing since the last king of Vietnam, which is about from WW II to now!
