wilson has such a handsome face. a couple of mine look really funny lol iv got one that almost looks like a pig lol

lol the people that had my burm before me said that htye used to feed him outside the viv so he wouldnt get viv defensive!!!
not being funny but i am NOT under ANY circumstances feeding a 12ft burm in the middle of my living room...i mean seriously what were they thinking.

but its cool to watch when they r small. i love watching feeding, its still fascinating!

This thursday Im gonna let the specialist treat my Red tail for the second
time. After then he must be all healthy.
Im also gonna take two Red belly sliders and a Solomon island ground boa
for treatment.
RBS are both females and very thin, and the Paulsoni I've bought cause hes such
a stunning little one. Hes still only 20".
Then I still have to treat the Burmese and the Rainbow boa for the second time.
Apart from the frogs , all animals are parasite free, and in a couple of weeks quarrantaine is passed.
:nilly:
Got sore hands and I tend to wash a little less then.
But the little zoo is growing and I like it.
:chillpill:

Gorgeous snakes! Really love that Brazilian Rainbow Boa. Those are very high on my list of snakes to care for. Maybe one of these days, when I have some more space for herps... (might have to get rid of an aquarium to make space).

Exactly my problem. My livingroom is 20 square meters, and I've got about 20 vivaria standing in it.
Three in the hall and two outside on the terrace.
I like to see my animals from the couch as much as possible.
The other day I took my RB pacu and a spectabilis to a public aquarium
(soon to be opened), just because I cant home them in big tanks the way I want.
The day I have a bigger home..

Heres my rainbow. Called her Ash:

And Wilson, the slender red tail:

Bayon the burmese is going to shed and doesnt eat because of it.
He is growing so fast, it scares me a bit.
0708201010417 [640x480].jpg
But I like him.

And this is my newest, a Solomon island ground boa (Candoia carinata paulsoni),
or at least a Solomon boa, cause Im not completely sure yet:

Hassnt eaten yet, but Im leaving a pinky in his den for tonight.
Lets see if its still there tomorrow.
Stunning fast little snake, especially when hes hungry.

Kinda waiting on the operation of my left ankle. In the mean time, when Im no longer happy standing up, I tend to play with cardboard and my Afghan tortoises.
So I made an indoor enclosure, with the possibility to go outside:

You see the male (Dionysos), walking out.

And the female thinks about some dinner:

And one of my other beloved pets, for which Im surely gonna make an indoor pond
in my bedroom:

Naserian is now 24" and lives with only polys and synodontis catfishes.

Gorgeous collection! And I LOL'd at the cardboard "highway" for the tortoises. Very clever idea.

I think the next herp I'm going to get may just be a brazilian rainbow boa, they're just so beautiful!

Thanks, I'll make a pic of the bridge over the threshold. The highlight of
the tortoise highway. :D

The brazilian rainbow boa doesnt get bigger then 8' for a lady.
Not a very heavy snake, likes to be more slender then other boas.
Im secretly seaching for a male brazilian rainbow boa..
And a bigger pool for her. Something of 10g.
Thinking about making it myself of some perspex. Bending it and kit it.
Dunno, lets see how far I get with it.

A promise is a promise, so here's the tortoise treshold bridge:

They are really running up and down the whole way.
1408201010493 [640x480].jpg
Thats why Im planning a den closer to the door..

And here my solomon boa, either a tree or a ground boa. I'd say semi arboreal.
Does anyone know specific which spiecies this is?
A Candoia carinata paulsoni or a Candoia bibroni australis, or something completely
different?

1608201010506 [640x480].jpg

And should I get him a frog or little lizard or wait till hes so hungry he'll eat a pinky?

Well.. heres what happened when I introduced a tjiktjak to the den of the pacific boa
(Candoia carinata):

Sorry for the crappy pics. But Im happy he ate. :headbang2

Here the two red bellied slider ladies sunbathing:
1708201010521 [640x480].jpg
Watertemp 30 celcius, uv A and B, vitamines, pellets, and a parasite treatment.
And I dont consider me as a turtle or tortoise man.. :D

And a healing and hopefully happy redtail:

He regurgitated two big hairballs, so I switched his supper into one day old chicks. And I leave the food on a piece of bark for him to find. It works great. Also with my other snakes, including the rainbow boa.

And my newest addition, Haitian flat headed iguanas, or red sided curly tail lizards:
2408201010539 [640x480].jpg
Two males, 10".

And three females, 8":
2408201010540 [640x480].jpg

Hopefully tomorrow Im gonna get big glass panels, 1 cm thick. For the enclosure for upcoming monstersnakes.
And a terrarium of 125,50,80 cm. thats 50",20",32" second hand.
Hard to find a terrarium second hand here in Holland, without a bearded dragon
along with it. But I found one.
Got to find some place for it though.. :nilly:

And pick up one more female iguana. Six sound better than five. :lol2:

nice curly tails! i saw them in the zoo once, really neat lizards, especially with the right lighting

Thanks, I hopefully will see a lot of soapy kinda interaction.
Allready the males are demanding leadership.
Gonna hold back on the sand, bark or mulch. These little critters like to dig,
and all I'll see is their heads when its dinnertime.
Gonna use hemp mulch I guess.
And a lot of stones and wood, so they can hide but not run. :irked:
Ah whatever. They're fun!

And I know now my Solomon boa is a Pacific or New Guinea tree boa.
A brown beautie!

I smell snake pee, and theres no water in the residential area because of maintenance.
Takes another one and a half hour. :nilly::nilly:
