here you go man this is just one of many links that all say the same thing about these frogs. It does not really matter what one you pick if you do a search they all say the same thing

http://www.geocities.com/ptimlin/xenopus.html

Interesting read. Do you have a link that isn't a geocities site? Something, I don't know....credible? Or at least something a bit more recent then 15 years ago? Especially due to the fact that the guide advises evaporation as a method for removing Chlorine....well, yes it does, but what about Chloramine?

I will take that as a no.

Please provide proper care for this animal, as well as your other animals. (The turtles)

stupid staement yes it does

they turtles are in prefect health and will be sand makes no difference

That is a quote from your other thread. The "stupid staement yes it does" is a response to me telling you that breeding does not equate proper care.

So, since you say that that was a stupid statement, please observe this video.

[YT]<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/KzYltLGDh74&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/KzYltLGDh74&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>[/YT]

In that video, there is the same frog as your, who spawned in a tank with a filter. So either A: Breeding does NOT equate proper conditions (which you called me stupid for saying) or B: That is the proper conditions for the frog.

Here is another video of the same species, in amplexus, in a tank with a filter.

never did any of the links I read say they could not be in a tank with filters just that they would do better with out them so to each is own mine I choose to have in a pond like set up and that's just where they are going too

do you have one, oh no you don't that's right lol

Actually, I have kept and bred them, I have moved on to other frogs that are a bit more....challenging.

I have yet to derail this thread. I am confused as to how posting evidence that they do best in a setup completely different then how you have them is derailing?

http://www.wnyherp.org/care-sheets/amphibians/african-clawed-frog.php

That is a herpetological society stating that the ACF need at LEAST 10 gallons, as well as a filter.

http://courses.ttu.edu/thomas/courses/6370-Summer06/Articles/Frogs.pdf

That is from Texas University, detailing care of the AFCs. Please note the filter comment.

Need I go on? I have plenty more sources from REPUTABLE sites, stating that the frog needs both more room and a filter.

Why are you so stubborn to admit that the care might POSSIBLY be improved a bit?

actually you have buddy but they were deleted my the Mod

regardless what's your point you are trying to get across? That you don't like the temp set up I have here, or that you may not agree with all the write up's on the net saying they prefer calm quite waters? I really do not care about either just wondering why it is you continue when it wont get you anywhere>? You made your point and angin I do not care so now what?:screwy:
