You're welcome.

You'll really just have to go by feel on stocking the tank. Start out lightly, and slowly add fish over time as the tank matures. If you start seeing territorial behavior or think its overcrowded, stop adding and maybe relocate a few.

I think that could be a really cool looking tank. Good luck with it :).

I'd love for you to post pictures when you get it set up. Nothing like a new tank. I've been wanting to get a bichir and some knife fish, just out of room in my apartment. Sometimes you have to live vicariously through others right ^_^

I will do my best to get some pictures up as things start coming along. :)

Something else to consider, if you've never kept them, dwarf pike cichlids are pretty cool. You could fit a pair in that tank, along with a bichir and probably the knife fish as well.

I think there are some available on aquabid.com right now, and maybe Snookn21 has some.

Just a warning, not all dwarfs get along with each other. I know that mine doesn't play well with others at all. She's got run of the whole mid to top of my 55 long and still chases the other fish at times, isn't even full grown yet either. I do feed her live foods much of the time, and I've heard it can increase aggression. At the same time, I've never heard of them being decent community fish when they are adults, particularly not with their own kind.

Yeah Dwarf Pikes are really cool looking. I use to see them at my LFS though in a year or so I haven't seen any.

Finally got my original account recovered so future posts on this thread will be thru this account and not Khormid. :)

I've seen three different species at Petland stores here in the KC area in the past 3 months. I don't know how far that chain spreads though. Mine came from my favorite local, privately-owned place.

We have Petsmart and PetCo and a LFS.

And yeah I'm pumped about having my original account back going :)!
