Eheims are nice filters, but I cant justify the cost. You can buy two fully loaded fx5's for one 2262. I like to use two filters on my tanks for reduntancy in case one takes a dump. I don't care how good a product is, there will always be some problems with all of them. I have had my fx5's for over 6 years without one problem yet. This is like Ford vs Chevy. There will be likes and dislikes on both sides. Having said all that. If money wasn't an issue and I could only choose one filter I would get the 2262 because it has a larger bio capacity than the FX5. They are both good filters though.
