Spacebar is at the bottom of the keyboard.:D Wow you have alot of fish in the 125. I foresee problems as the become semi-adults though. Especially with Female Red Terror as they are most of the time more aggressive then the males. Red Texas are bastards as well. Now is that Parrot a True Parrot or Blood Parrot.

I would recommend over crowding otherwise with 2-3 cichlids in a 75 gallon tank for example, you'll have the one dominant fish which is likely to hurt/kill the other two. That's been my experience.

Exactly, which is what I duscussed with the owner of the LFS. Thats when he see most of his losses, so he tries to keep them "full"

So...do you think a male GT with a mixture of thorichtys species could work? Any other species suggestions to go with a male GT?

I have a 75 and if I take out even the small 2 inch green terror things start losing fins and scales, so I am just going to leave it as is. It is like it has an equilibrium of aggression. And I agree becasue all these asian themed tanks with aros pbass and dats are way over stocked but as long as they have free swimming room and clean water It seems logical enough to me.

Ill be honest, A Male GT will own a thorichtys......I would look to some Male Cons.

Texas too tough??? Probally.....Trying to find a fish medium size that a GT will not own with out going bigger is hard.......Headrush, I know you have a liking for the Salvini, and that may work with a GT. (IMHO)

Im gonna thunk a lil on this.....do some reading to make sure the advice I may give has basis in fact as opposed to just personal opinion.....I have experience using Male Cons as dithers for larger cichlids and it is a hoot, the cons are tough, but smart enough not to mess with a larger GT. A Friend has 2 Male Cons in with a 7" GT and a 6" Male JD in a 75, that works fine....well to be truthfull.......

Well If they all start at the same size that would make a difference wouldn't it? I'm not saying I'd put a 6" male GT in with a bunch of 2-3" fish...that wouldn't be too bright of me :D if anything he'd be the smallest at the start

Considered the salvini myself too but I'd want a high end female (like the juvie I had) and have been looking for one for 3-4 months. I even asked Rapps and he said he doesn't normally have salvini.

I don't like Cons so they're out.

Carpintis was one fish I took a long look at at the LFS that day too. I've beentrying to read up on them but seems they get kinda big n nasty. But depending on the temperment of the GT it could be ok I guess. Are they fast growers? GTs grow pretty slow IME. The LFS had salvini too but they were small and a little washed out. None of them had colors that jumped out at me and thats what I want if I can help it

I love big tanks fully stocked with big fish but i think the fish looses his personality. They stop doing things like banging on the glass, chasing the owner, moving rocks...But it looks good in my opinion. I was just wondering (i really dont wanna still the thread here but it seems the right people to ask to), how many cichlid i could overcrowd my tank with without doing anything crazy? I currently have 8" ebjd, 7"gold sev, 4" sev, 5" f jd, 5" carpintis, 5" xingu pike, 7" oscar and 4 siver dollars in a 150 gal tank ? Just curious :naughty: ...
