Thats what i told myself too, at one point i had 20+ poly in my 75g for a month, then i bought the 180g then i started to buy from toyin.

May be a dumb question but have you tried locally ? Maybe a lfs can order them for you. Even if you have to wait a couple of weeks it may be better to actually pick your first few polys rather than ordering blind. What i would give to be able to actually see the fish i was buying before hand lol

Tank mates should be anything that isnt torpedo shaped. You would be surprised at what they can get down. Angel fish would be cool.
Also just a suggestion maybe dont order soo many dels. These things are like drugs man. Today its a del, tomorrow its a retro, then an endli and so on. Maybe leave some room for future additions.

The only one I can get locally is Senegals and I like delhezi and ornate the most.

Just get the delhezi, and if you think you wanna add or replace something for a better one, you can always sell or rehome

72 x 18 footprint? I see no reason why you couldnt do an ornate. Likely anything you would acquire at a reasonable cost will be captive born and not get as large as a wild caught.

yeah it's 72x18". I'll definitely get an ornate also. I have an empty 75 so if I need to take some out I can always start up the 75.

I would honestly just get one del. They are great fish but the chances of you wanting more/different polys are more than likely and the whole process of rehoming and selling can be a hassle.

I think you would be fine with an ornate. Ibe kept one in the same sized 150. Mine grew to 12 inches fast but slowed down since. If it were me instead of 6 dels i would do 5 or 6 different polys in one shot. Would be enough to spread any aggression and give you more of a variety.

I would say you would have no problem keeping a cb endli in your tank too.
