I had a piece I found in the lake in my 75 for months. I had to pry it down with rocks just like you are doing. When I moved I removed one of the rocks and the thing went flying towards the top of the tank, it still wasn't water logged. It can take a while.

That tank looks beautiful though!

this is one sweet piece of drift wood! You did good!
I read somewhere that very dry driftwood takes a while to sink. Not sure if this is true, but if it is, you can always drill a couple of pieces of slate to the bottom of the wood.

Thanks! I was very lucky to find such a nice piece just lying on the ground by the water. It was a pain to get it ready but it was free!

My wife will kill me if i do that in the tub:D

I really thought she was but was surprised that she didn't say a word about it.

Oh wow! Months! Thanks, I'm very pleased with it so far. I guess I could zip tie the plants on now? I'm just stuck with this rock out of place for a long time. I'm going to try to find a nifty idea other than this rock. I don't think slate is going to cut it plus I don't want this rock to somehow fall and break my glass. That would be a nightmare.
