I have no idea. My guess is Rio meta because that's kinda what they look like. But they were labeled as temensis in the store so I was happy to find em

so i picked up some dithers today. a dozen decently large black skirt tetras. they were $.80 each so I figured I'd give it a shot and see if it'd help. Well it definitely helped. because there's only 5 left now. apparently large in the tank was still small enough to be a meal.

oh well. they were healthy feeders, i'm not too worried about it. but at least I know the relative size now for dithers. on the search for better sized ones!

So it turns out female convicts work great as dithers.

I could have told you that. Silver dollars have a tall enough body generally if they are not tiny. Get them a similar size to the xingus...like 5 of em.
