Oscar and Jaguar cichlid issues

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I think the issue here isn't the age, it's the fact that no matter how old he was, he had plenty of advice given to him and he didn't heed the advice. People tend to get pissed when people ignore them and the end result is exactly what they were saying in the first place. It makes the rest of us who have gone through mistakes and time consuming research and the time consumption of picking the right stock, maintaining water etc look bad.

I would straighten out my stocking IF I was aloud to get rid of the fish, My rents say I've spent too much money on the fish to get rid of them. So it's not too easy to do this.

That's the whole point though, the stocking should never have been like that in the first place. Ask your parents if they would rather you try to get some (potentially) money back by trading the fish in for credit or have them die and wasting the money completely.

Can we get a thread close here please!

I must say when I was around 10 I was pretty dumb and irresponsible myself. My brothers and I had a 55 gallon with around 15 fish-which included Oscars, Pacu, Salvini, Breeding Cons, Plecos, Channel Catfish, and at one time a Snakehead-man I was dumb! Hopefully you will learn from this.

We were ''giving our opinions on stocking'' because thats were your problem is. I was not pissing myself, but trying to help a irresponsible fish keeper. And if your parents says little jonny, you cannot have a big tank, don't have big fish. Makes sense? :D

Ya know I've been looking back on my previous threads and I've noticed how much of an ass I've been. I had all of this advice in front of me and completely ignored it, I am deeply sorry for how I was and I've changed my ways. I'm picking up a 150g this Sunday as well which will straighten out my better but still overstocked 55g.
