I agree. your sailfin can live fine in your current setup IMO.

i have a tiger O in a 75 and its boring with just him...he killed his room mate (green texas) any fish i can put in with my O that he wont kill and wont kill him...also does the new fish need to be about the same size... thanks for the help.

whenever i introduce any fish to my 75 that might look like they could cause some conflict, I take everything out so only the substrate remains and introduce the fish. I keep the tank bare for the next 24hrs which doesnt really allow the fish to establish any territories, thus eliminating agrresiveness. this is just what works for me.

are you from oscarfish.com? i think i've seen that screen name there.

but for the oscar you can put a decent sized severum with them, or a firemouth and two cons. hell, there's plenty of things that can go in there.... the pleco and an O would be a boring tank. and that's by no means pushing the limits of that tank with proper filtration, some may say it is, but they are dumb:popcorn: . i would stay away from eels and small gar for that tank however.. (those have been my oscars most expensive feeder fish)

we are not dumb. it is NOT a boring tank. chile has first hand experience maintaining a pleco/oscar tank.that would be overstocking it, seeing as that O of his will get 12" and that pleco easily over 12". with two 12" fish, that 75G is plenty stocked. adding anything more would be lunacy!:screwy:

do you have any experiance? my reserve tank is a 65g tank with sump filtration from precision marine, in there is a 8"O, 11" common plec., 3" firemouth, and a a pair of breeding cons.(which just layed their third batch of eggs in two months.

my params stay fine for a full week, never have any spikes... i can show a picture as well later tonight.
and once most O's get bigger and older they do become boring.

nope, but my parents have had a tank like that. I still say that's OS, and because plecos are ultra crap machines he shouldn't get anything else. I also trust chile relleno, because he really knows his stuff. i was mostly just backing him up, not trying to give advice on my own.

Yea wait till the O grows another 4 inches, the firemouth another two, and your pleco another 10 lol
