I only had the sticks and they read ok but I hear there inaccurate and plan to get liquid test Thursday
What is considered "ok" in your eyes? Under 10ppm? Under 20ppm? Under 40ppm? "Ok" doesn't help much lolI only had the sticks and they read ok but I hear there inaccurate and plan to get liquid test Thursday
Personally I try to keep my nitrates as low as possible. All the numbers it read with the color codes were what they were supposed to be for cichlids on the legend they give you
15 percent water changes once a week
pops knows his oscars, maybe he will chime in.
15% a week on a 20gal with an oscar sounds a little on the low side. Try aiming for 40% weekly or higher if you can. Especially while he's still growing.![]()
+100.....I always did 60%-70% WC weekly, but after lots of discussions w/A pick would help. not going to bull crap you, 15% water change is not near enof once a week. again pics help. but def sounds stunted, not by tank size but water quality. any HITH?
That answer is incorrect, the answer should not be "words:, it should be NUMBERS. Any other answer is marked "incorrect"All the numbers it read with the color codes were what they were supposed to be for cichlids on the legend they give you
I don't really even use it but that's exactly what I got a few months ago when you guys said I should at least "OWN one". I agree, test strips are garbage - everytime I do a quick-check to compare my readings to Petco/Petsmart, their strips always read differently than my High PH Master SW test kit (I already have a regular PH test kit from before)I use and prefer the API Master Fresh Water Test Kit, test strips are not very accurate.
Something definitely doesn.'t look right about him.....
