oscar to small?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
sorry been deep in water changes and still em, 145 filling. he does not look stunted. give him good tank size and good water, and he should spring along fine. you are shooting for no more than 20ppm nitrate as a constant. little higher on water change fine, just do not want 40ppm being the main constant. that make sense?

what are you feeding/?

Makes sense frank castle says he doesn't look right what do you think

Hikari gold pellets and brine shrimp every so often

he is small for his age, no argument, sorry watching a tank fill, over flow sucks, he is 10 months old, should be about 9" to 10" , but genetics play a part in that.

I guess we'll wait and see what happens

give a large tank. good diet, and good water quality , I change 90% or fin level every week. he may surprise you in growth, Oscars mature at around the 18th month, give or take a few months depending on the fish. he aint done growing spurt, diet good but easy on the proteins.

what water system change do you use, as in a python? buckets?

15% suggest you are using buckets. If there is one thing i know, the harder something is to do, the less likely we are to do it.
