Oscar...

Uh I wouldn't really put a pleco with an Oscar in a 75 gallon. Especially a common pleco.

Aside from the fact that they get huge, they also poop more than any other fish I've seen lol. They're definitely messy, if not messier, than an Oscar. You would have to do at least 2 big water changes a week to keep your water good. If you are looking for a bottom dweller, you can maybe get a Featherfin or a Striped Raphael catfish. Both of them don't add much to the bioload and they generally only get up to 9".

I'm not sure if it's just me though but if you're looking for a 'cleaning crew' to eat leftover food at the bottom, then I would say just stick with the 1 Oscar and use floating pellets. Any fish you add wouldn't really be helping you keep your tank clean since they'll just eat and poop like any other fish. But if you like having a bottom dweller or you like their looks, then by all means, go for it. :)
 
Ahhh dang I really like plecos/catfish..but I guess ill do a single oscar..I hope I don't get bored with just 1 fish but everyone says they are awesome.. :) I'm excited

I have a 3 year old oscar and I love him. Everything you have read about oscar's having there own personality is very true. My oscar (his name is oscar, not original I know) 90% of the time is in a very good playfull mood. He follows me from one side of the tank to the other, I'll stick my hand in the tank and he will come up and brush up against it, But the other 10% of the time he gets in a pretty bad mood and gets to throwing such violent temper tantrums that he splashes water out of the tank. One time he was doing that I put my hand in the tank to try and comfort him and he decide he would rather bite me lol.
 
Omg I know they look SO cool! It was 35 bucks then like 74 for shipping..cheap! To me anyways I was gonna pay up to 300 lmao so I'm tickled to death :D

Wild Oscars are awesome. Their colors are very different from a captive bred. Not sure how their temperament would be though. I'm under the impression that wild ones generally are more shy than captive bred since they're not used to humans. I may be wrong though so don't take my word for it.

Either way I'm pretty sure you won't get bored with your Oscar! They are like kids. They're playful but can throw temper tantrums like a brat. Oh and they also like decorating their own home so don't expect to maintain your decors the way you want it lol.

If you really to, I'd say try keeping 1 Oscar in your tank first and see how your water quality is. If your nitrates don't go above 20ppm in a week, then maybe you can add a catfish like those I mentioned. Just be prepared to have a backup plan in case you notice aggression or if your water quality goes south. Your best friend will be the liquid test kit and water changer. :D
