I hope your tank is cycled, Ammonia testing would appear as though you are. Buy a test kit though seriously, you can't rely on going to a store to have your water tested when your fish isn't acting normal.

Yer I've said this before that i am looking around my area my lfs said they could order me a good one in they will tell me price when i go back this saturday.
Yeah definately start with a baby like everyone says they grow fast, easy to feed and depending on the individual their color and patterns change so much. That and as mentioned you know their personality and can grow it with some other little buddies. Not so with an adult you dont know who might come in and be a real pain or mellow - but its a gamble.
get two. if your lucky they turn out to be friends or pairs. or they turn on against each other i read. i think mine are gonna be pairs. got mine when they were 1 inch. they grow so fast that youll have medium size - adults in no time.
I can't wait till i get him/her i still have a good budget which is a surprise after a bought a whole load of stuff i have 100 bucks left so 25 for the oscar and 40-50 for food.
In my opinion you cant go wrong with an oscar. A very funny pet, but do you plan on get him/her tankmates?
