P like to attack from behind, and O's rarely turn around from a fight in aquaria, lessening the chance of them being attacked. If the P do get an advantage they probably will take it however.
Both the Oscar and the Pirahna face risk in this combination, BUT it has been done successfully before. It's a serious roll of the dice, and I recommend going over the the Pirahna forum on here, this has been mentioned there before I think.
Are you sure they are pirahna? I have never seen an aquarium mix p's w/ other fish. They are always kept in speices tanks. They could be a type of silver dollar.
One red belly would definantly be fine, but 3 piranhas, despite of the red belly's size, they will tear up your oscar sooner or later.
Plus the piranhas in the pic are not red bellies, i think they are rhoms?? not schooling piranhas.

Actually I have heard that oscars do respond to aggression head on, and this would be good in terms of keeping them with piranhas-it wouldn't signal the "prey trying to escape" response in the piranhas.
