im telling you guys. i had, i no longer have due to a move and all my fish died. but i had a 30 gallon tank with a 5" tiger oscar, 4" rbp, 7" black crappie, 5" bluegill. they all survived each other. one piece of arching driftwood in the middle. the rbp stayed hidden between while the rest were roaming about. i barely fed them. feeding came once a week. the gill and oscar gets to food first, crappie ate nothing that i saw. but he lived even with rbp nibbling his tail off constantly, but thats how the rbp survived, eating fins. oscars condition was fine. wasnt stressed, fully colored, just finnicky, but aggressive as ever. thats what drove the rbp away from him. same with the gill. try it out. i had an all species tank. threw wutever i could get my hands on in there to see who'd survive. oddly enuf they found harmony.
