Are you sure they are pirahna? I have never seen an aquarium mix p's w/ other fish. They are always kept in speices tanks. They could be a type of silver dollar.

I wouldn't mix p's and o's.
I'd bet there are P's mixed in there. I've been to a number of different cities Aquariums and in their Amazon exhibit they have P's mixed with Oscars.
I've kept a P with an O years ago, the O was 2-3" larger they seemed to get along fine then one day while I was at work the O killed the P

These public aquariums are much bigger then most home aquariums. That really makes a difference.

My guess is an O might kill a P, but all a P needs is one bite and that is it. They get hungry and that O is food.

1 piranha wouldnt kill an Oscar, on their own Piranhas are pure cowards, they only work well as a group. The piranha might try to nip the Oscar a few times but it will constantly be dominated by the oscar in the long run, although there are exceptions and 1 offs.

Those are Pacu in your picture, not piranhas. big difference. and no, it would never work.

Dude learn how to read Those are obviously pacus in the picture I know it everybody knows it, but I also said the pirahnas were out of the picture. I put the picture up to show the tank they were in. I also said don't try it at home.

People are more keen on finding a reason to be snide than they are, talking about the hobby. Kev didnt even have the decency to read your post, he was so keen to dis-credit you, to increase his own already inflated ego. I let myself down just recently, losing my temper slightly, but they posted on my visitor page so that i was up to be unjustly mocked by other site users.

That is true. RBPs are very shy, skittish, and kind of whimpy on their own.

I was just at the henry doorly zoo and they had oscars in with the pirahnas. But I would not try it at home. You can't see the pirahnas in picture but they are there. Also was a big midas in there

Pacus and Oscars do well together, but not Pirahnas. The smaller ones were probly just baby Pacus as they look like Pirahnas when smaller.
