Ok....

So most of you guys reckon I can not have a jag in my 125g (5'x2'x20") with many tankmates. But I have been told the above 2 fish arent as aggressive/territorial.

So which would be the most aggressive?? And which is the most attractive?

Any UK members - can we get these over here?....Ive not seen any so far!!

All advice appreciated....!!

I think it just depends on which one you like better personally. I have both, and out the two the loisellei is more aggressive, but it is bigger than the freddy. Not as aggressive as a jag isn't really saying much, as both are real brutes and will chase just about anything they can. The pics that askirmish and bsixxx posted are great examples of each species, by the way.

i still say do the jag bro!

If I had to choose, I'd definitely go with a Loiselli. Beautiful fish. I think they are fairly similar as far as aggression is concerned.

Either would be cool but you could also go motoguense too. However what do you want to try as tankmates? you will probaly do best with 2 other cichlids(same gender if possible) & maybe 1 or 2 medium cats. or just some cats.

oh, do a motag for sure! similar size and temperment, superior colors!!!

In my experience, and excluding the dovii, all the Parachromis are equally aggressive. Mine all get a long well (see sig), but will not put up with any shenanigans what so ever. And they're all on the bigger side (12"+ jag male, 9" jag male, 11"+ friedrichsthalii male, 7"+ loiselli female).

To elaborate on how they get along, the freddy and loiselli paired up and laid eggs. They disappeared a day or so later though. In my tank, it's mostly a matter of "mutual respect". The big ones don't really go into someone else's "house".

And here's a couple of pics if it helps you decide.:)
