How is boxing ahead? Sells out the same numbers in the same stadiums, but MMA sells more in bigger venues and more often. Not sure how boxing is ahead.
PPV numbers are bigger in boxing, but nowhere near as frequent - push.

Winkie wright is not a good prospect. The Klitchko brothers aren't anything worth watching, and the days of Tyson are long gone. The only fighters worth watching are fighting this weekend, (Mosley is too old though) and Mayweather is too busy protecting his record to face Pac.

Winky Wright is closer to the end of his career than the beginning, did someone mention him as a prospect?...Andre Berto or the guy that just beat him a couple weeks ago would be better examples.

It's an open poll so you can see who voted for what hahaha
LMAO!

Not betting either of them. I'll just sit back and wonder what will change in boxing history again.

well, here's a better question. if i told you you could only watch one for the next 10 years....knowing what you know about breakout fighters in the mma and boxing right now....gambling that there may be a few diamonds in the rough that we don't know about yet....knowing about the inability boxing promoters and organizers to make the best match ups happen....which sport would you pick to follow exclusively for the next 10 years?

i'd be shocked if more if you said boxing then mma

Also, where do you think the best athletes are going regardless of purses for the major fights....it's my opinion that those who are into this type of barbarian contact sport are going into mma, taking away some of the talent pool that might've gone to boxing

again, mma will sell more BECAUSE they have more shows. if boxing had shows once a month and mma had shows 3-4 times a year, guess who'd sell more?

i brought up mma only because the two are always compared which they really shouldn't be. it's two different sports with 2 different pay structures. the bottom line in this debate, no matter what you say is that boxing is still relevent in general. but obviously it's not relevent with you personally. your last paragraph proved my point that boxing isn't relevent to you but not in general, it's just your opinion which i disagree with. you listed some boxers who you think isn't worth watching anymore and the only ones worth watching for you is fighting this weekend. I've been a long time fan of the Klits brothers and dude, they are two of the best hw in boxing history. I love watching them fight. Wlad is said to be fighting David Haye this summer. One of the HUGEST hw fights in a long time. They have a history of bad blood since Haye moved to hw and this fight was a long time coming. but i dont' expect you to know that although you might

this is like asking a basketball fan to choose between basket ball and football, a sport that the guy enjoys but don't follow as closely

mma is my #1 sport, i never really was a true fanatic of any sport ever until mma. i can honestly say i am a true fanatic of mma so of course i will go with mma

but that's just me, i don't see how this will prove that boxing is irrelevent anymore

when i believe boxing is not relevent is when the numbers of ppv buys start dropping and falling waaaaaaay behind mma which at the moment is not what is happening. again, using mma as a guage only since it is the best thing to compare it with

to be honest with you, guys go to mma because they are not good enough for boxing

if a true gifted and talented guy found that he has great hands, boxing is the way to go. it's a no brainer, the pay and prestigeness (if that's even a word) is not comparable at this point in time

if i'm a guy that like both but i find i'm not that great of a boxer, i'll go mma, you have better chances there

btw, Nick Diaz who is current StrikeForce ww champ wants to go into boxing because the pay sucks and he knows even low level boxers make more money

I like watching both MMA and Boxing… but I have been more entertained watching boxing then MMA. All the big name fights in MMA have not been as fun to watch as all the big name fights in Boxing. De La Hoya vs. Mayweather. De La Hoya vs. Pacman. Pacman vs. Cotto. Pacman vs. Marquez. Pacman vs. Margarito. Even Pacman vs. Hatton. Those fights were very entertaining then the biggest MMA fights that have happened in the last 2 years IMO. Boxing is a science and MMA is brute force with technique.

Boxing and MMA are fighting sports but VERY different fighting sports. You really can't compare the 2 and BOTH ARE relevant depending on who you ask.

The GSP vs Jake Shields fight was a joke of a fight for a main event. Shields was slower then the slowest turtle I have every seen. There was no way Shields was going to be fast enough to take GSP down to the mat.

The Jose Aldo vs Mark Hominick was a very fun fight to watch.

When comparing MMA purses to those of boxers, it's as if MMA fighters are fighting for minimum wage. Money talks and BS walks.

this fight is nothing we all know whats ganna happen its almost like a fake fight or money fight dont get me wrong i already made big plans to watch it but whens pac man gana fight someone real im not saying its pacs fault or anything im just saying its geting lame maywather should have sum pride and stop bulls****** cus i think we all wana see a real fight. im more into the super 6 then this fight and cant wait for the hopkins rematch with paskel i cant wait for that one go hopkins !!!!!!!!
