AW7020;1269852; said:Ok here are the tanks for the pacu. The 4 tiers of glass tanks are 4' by 2' by 8" which are used for getting the smaller ones up to size. Next to the glass tank is the concrete tank build into the ground depth is 5' with water level at 3' to avoid any jumpers. The 4 stage DIY glass filter is placed over the concrete tank with a 40W pump. Filter media is Jap Mat with black sponges inserted in between. Water changes once ever 3 months 50%. The pacus are in there now with some Koi, Barbs and 2 plecos. Size of the pacu now is 4-6"
In the Window you can see the reflection of the Town incoming water filter, we call that brand a Rocket over here and the water in to the tanks are filtered through that.. As the water are rather bubbly will have to turn off the pump to get better pics of the fish later.
Over the tanks are the Plastic Roofing to keep out the heat and reduce the intensity of the sunshine..
The concrete tank is now bare without any deco. Hope that should be pacu proof enough. Except for the 2 pumps pipes. one on standby in case of operational failure.

Pic 1, 2 and 3 Pacus with Tank Mates, Pink Tilapia, Various Koi, Carps and Pic 4 the Green Arowana separated by a net in the same concrete tank. All this will be moved when i shift to a new house with a bigger pond in a few months time. Still renovating at the moment.
