Paddlefish (Polyodon Spathula)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
try to get him on pellets. floating and sinking. Fugupuff I believe raised some from baby to 4' long in a round tank. Goodluck, I'm sure you can do it.

Paddlefish are a lot more of a piscavore than many people give them credit for. As long as the fish are tiny it shouldn't have a problem eating them. It does prefer cooler water, I would try to keep it in the low 70's at most. Lot's of aeration. and a very big tank. If you want to feed him pellets try a feeder ring with hikari micro pellets. The ring will allow the pellets to fall slowly in one area and the fish should learn quickly to feed on them as they fall. The pellets are tiny so they fall in a shower. Keep us up todate on it's progress, I suggest you keep a daily diary about it's up keep so the rest of us can learn from it.
