I love to see this fishes swimimg so fast non stop & eating alot of feeder small guppy in tank .We cant feed it plankton in a home aq as not convenient to get plankton and also it will go in a filter aq system.mkman;3185275; said:beautiful!! You are doing a good job growing it up
I've had many conversations with researchers about paddlefish and it seems their need for "plankton" is somewhat exaggerated. Tiny fish and crustaceans are taken as well as small fishes. To say they must subsist on microscopic plankton is not really true. most of the river systems they live in do not support much in the way of what most people think of when we say plankton. The Chinese version of the paddle fish is a dedicated piscavore and our paddlefish eats lots of small fishes as well.

Little guy looks super healthy! The last picture kinda makes his rostrum look a little bent up though...any idea what thats about?

Man I miss my paddle fish's. They were one of my favorite fish period. Nice looking paddle Ernst.
