Painting a 3D background, is it possible ?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I had an acrylic overflow spray painted blue inside my reef that started to peel after 2 years. If you give it a light sanding it will hold pretty well. I didn’t read the part of not wanting to remove it from the tank. Makes sense now. Best of luck! Post about what you choose to do and how it goes. Would like to see the result
No worries man. If i go through with it it will be during/after a move so things will be a little hectic. Taping every inch of the tank will be impossible with the wife breathing down my neck.

If i removed it id be looking at buffing down the inside of the tank right ? Definitely wont have the time for that lol

My original plan was to have the fish back in the tank the day we move in
Not realizing im going to have to cut out the bulkheads and re plum some areas. I'll be able to salvage most of it by using couplings but still not something i want to deal with the day we move in.

I'll take a pic. I would REALLY REALLY LOVE IT if one of you called me an idiot and gave me a much simpler way to handle this lol

Switch everything over to unions now before the move

So heres what im looking at.

Im thinking i'll be able to save most of the plumbing but will have couple it up to new elbows near the (new)
bulkheads.

The stand isnt very tall, not allot of room to work with. So i had to get creative with the elbows
