Pale, Gasping Black Arowana

Appears to be physically injured (Guessing from its shredded fin), either from being harrassed by tankmates or ramming into the wall or lid.

I've never witnessed any of that

it could be posioned by something it ate, bad shrimp, or maybe a spider got into the tank. The aro doesn't look good at all. I am hoping it pulls through for you. How old is the aro?

about 2 years I think. I've had him for a little over 1 year and until now he's been growing and acting great.

Did you use the mela-fix for cloudy eyes? How long has his fins looked like that? Was there possibly a PH fluctuation? Do you have a CK in that tank? I had a Ck that would harass my aro on occasion and his fins looked like that. Would only do it with the lights out.

yea, the melafix was for the cloudy eye (worked), and the fins have just started to fray like that in the past day or so. No CK in the tank, and I usually sit and watch them with the lights out for a while each night. I've never seen any fish harass this one.

He has got much worse though. He started to lay on the bottom as we were getting the Q tank ready, and now that he's in the Q tank he's not swimming well at all. I think this may be the end for him.

In his other tank there isnt much because of the drip system.

No physical injuries that I can see, just the discolored ones from when he lost them about a month ago. Other than that....pale
