well form what I have read and seen in your photos it doesn't looke good! I would NOT go over 1tbsp per gallon on him!! if his stomach is distented you need to do an epsom salt routine!! it works as a laxative but can be stressfull!! Please check aorfanatics.com they have an arowana specific medboard!!! With some asian fish vets that will really help you out!! I would not bombard him with alot of meds though!!! don't do malafix if you can avoid it. Clean water, salt and a little luck is all it should take!!

Salt and clean water is my plan. He's alone now in a 110, but not looking good at all:(

I'm adding the salt slowly.

also read the directions on the garlic guard!!! it has instruction for inhanced performance!!!

He doesnt eat prepared foods. Mostly frozen "human" food. I can't for the life of me think of what may have caused this. Part of me wants to blame something in the water or food, but the rays and tig are doing awesome which makes me think otherwise.

Dodgefreak. Thank you VERY much for your help via PM. I'm trying what I can with the salt treatment, but things are looking extremely bleak.

I did not really think so but just thought we had to think of everything and yet i can't think of any logical thing that could be going on except that he injured himself because the gasping for breath sounds like a heavy stress situation going on.. perhaps internal injuries .. i sure hope not... .keeping my fingers crossed for him to get better by morning..
